An old dog taught new tricks? Perhaps, but it’s hard not to conclude that all the work the IAG team has done in reviving and then refining this classic design has paid off in a sound that’s bang up to date, but with all the ease of listening of the original. Add in the visual appeal, especially on those dedicated stands, and you have a speaker that makes a real statement about the way you enjoy your music.

Look at this speaker, I mean it's beautiful. You can get it in three different finishes. I think I get more enjoyment out of helping people to get $50000 sound for $5000, if it's possible. You hook this up to a PrimaLuna Evo 100 like we did in the sound room, and it's just going to blow your mind.

They're larger than the basic lintons and come with a few key upgrades including a completely redesigned Tweeter mid-range driver and woofer which all aim to refine the speakers Sonic performance.

These Super Lintons are quite the upgrade…!

The Super Linton has a lot more air, more information, and a lot more sparkle on the top end. It's just amazing. $2,500 is a lot, but when you compare it to something like the Klipsch Heritage series, the KLH Model Five, or the JBL stuff that's out there, like the L100, this is a deal.

I think Wharfedale just really nailed it with the Linton. The 85th Anniversary Linton is an imperfectly perfect speaker that's just balanced great. To go better than that, they made a faster, clearer, more dynamic speaker that is lively sounding, likely answering all the critics who wanted a supercharged version of the Linton. It's definitely worthy of the mantle of "super" in terms of speed, liveliness, and bass.

As soon as we hit play on the first track, it was clear that the Super Lintons were cut from the same cloth as the standard Lintons, delivering a full-bodied sound that was just turned up a few notches. The bass had more punch and detail, the mid-range improved in focus, and the treble was more dynamic.

I really think that most people are going to be very happy with this speaker sound it's very
smooth it's very neutral it's very natural and I really can't find anything to complain about
it overall so I say it's a good speaker, that's my opinion!

If you have room in your budget, these are worth the upgrade. Now, while no speaker is perfect for everyone, it's hard to imagine anyone not liking the Wharfedale SUPER LINTON. They have just the right amount of bass, kick and mid-range presence to keep things fun while being relaxed enough to encourage listening to music for hours on end.

The top end on the Super Linton is definitely more detailed—in a good way. The detail and clarity of the Super Linton are just that much better. These Super Lintons are going to be something else once they open up because the midrange and treble are right there.

There's no muddiness in it, there's no murkiness—it's just clear and pristine!

… what you're getting with the super Linton is impeccable design. I mean, like next-level design real wood veneer more bass than you would be getting from a (Klipsch) Heresy or KLH Model 5. And if you get the right amplifier on it, even at lower volumes, you get an incredibly dynamic speaker, natural tonality in the mid-range and the top end; no sibilance. But the one magic trick that this speaker does is give you a unique sound stage.

Anyone who listens to music with this Wharfedale is not committing a sentimental act, nor is he clinging to a fleeting retro nostalgia. Rather, the Super Linton Heritage manages the authentic heritage of high fidelity at the cutting edge of today. A very, very big recommendation!
